Well me and my friend both went to the doctors today, the doctor asked us both were we sexually active, I told him no, and she told him no, which were not, but..me and her masturbate a lot, not together or anything like that, but once in a blue moon we basically talk about it, and have no big deal about, but the doctor took blood testes for the both of us just to check and see if we were or not or whatever, what we like to know is, would that effect anything?, us masturbating, would it like claim that we are sexually active? How do you know when a person is sexually active, is it when they had sex or something?

When the doctor asked if you're sexually active, he meant with other people. The reason why he asked is that if you are, then he needs to talk to you about birth control and staying safe from STDs. Masturbation is normal and to be expected.

You're considered to be sexually active when you've had sex with someone else.

The blood tests may check for disease, but they could also check to see if you're anemic and need to increase your iron, for example.
