Is it wrong for black people to acknowledge the determination of whites?

Even though slavery happened and it was brutal, I still give whites the respect they deserve. You guys are a force to be reckoned with. You are a minority on a global scale you have syill managed to gain control over the earth. I might not agree with some of the tactics used to gain this control but you all are warriors. In the movie the last samurai the samurai's were amazed at how even thoughTom Cruises' character would still try hold up his weapon even though he was fatally wounded. They said he was a new kind of warrior. your determination is astounding.Your thirst for knowledge is indescribable, your lust for power is insurmountable. You guys have people and machines in space.Even though whites are hated one thing for some of their acts a smart person still respects their accomplishments.Don't get me wrong i'm glad i was born black, but you all still get the utmost respect for the positive things you have accomplished in these modern days. Now if we could all just get along!!!

No, it is not wrong. But out of fairness I do think you could be more specific and attribute the achievements to Americans, or English, or Europeans, or whatever nationality. I would not go so far as to say the white race has "managed to gain control over the earth." You need to go to Asia and see more. Not all whites are warriors either, I am thinking of those who contributed to medicine, and didn't make it into the movie "The Last Samurai".
If you want to study more lust for power and lust for knowledge, please study 20th Century Japan. As for getting along, I believe there is an organization called the U.N. Nations and races there all get along, or try to at least.

When we talk together on line we are all wearing masks...no one has a color or sex or religion or the same government ruling over us. We are all on the same playing field.

I'm happy it's that way because no one can judge us only with the words we use to chat with one another. You get feelings of love, hate, peace, hope, joy, sadness and everything else in between.

We are upset about our history and our future...we are worried about our families and welfare for everyone close to us.

We can't change history it's in the past....we can't fix the future it's to come....we can only live today right now...and make each day the best we can. Be open to listen to others....offer our hands in friendship. What our past leaders did to other groups is not what we the people today stand for....we are not the same people even though we are called "white" or some other name.

What was done years ago was wrong when it came to slavery. now many generations have proved they can be free to have the right to vote to be educated to reach their dreams. There is no more slavery there hasn't been for many years..we must move on and at the same time remember our history so we can learn from it.

I enjoyed your question because it gave me reason to be thankful for many things...one is meeting many wonderful Africans on line not always knowing they were black...first I talk to their heart..not to their color.....so that is a great realization that we can be friends without seeing someone....we can learn so much from one another and our cultures we can forget the differences and focus on the positive things....

Yes it is wrong because they are demons. If you listen closely they always try to justify their wrong doings. they say i agree with you yet did you know blacks had slaves. Did you Dying Asians=Caucus Asians=Carcass Asians that your fore fathers forced thousands little black slave girls ages 8, 9, 10, 11and up into having sex for hundreds of years? They also classified blacks as animals and still had they're way with them. That is known as the practice of bestiality. Sleeping with animals! Did u know that Carcass-Asians for Millenia have always thirsted for blood? Nowadays they call it rare (under cooked meat). Did you now that our sun, proves that they are mutants. It kills them like it kills a vampire. If you were natural to the environment your skin would embrace the sun and transforms it's rays into energy like most other living things on earth. You are habitual liars. Look at your schools' teachings.You teach Christopher Columbus (not even his real name) discovered a place where people already existed as if they were nobody and not even there. I still don't see whites protesting this kind of rhetoric being taught, even u I'm not racist ones.you feel you are so advanced but your so-called technology is destroying the earth. What good is your technology if it destroys the environment. What will the future generations have. They Don't hate your color ,think about it who hates a color? That doesn't make any sense! I don't agree with some of your reasons for admiring white people, but I do agree that as a society in the United States we should all be admired and respected, whether we're white, black, Asian or the myriad of other colors and possibilities. As a country we've done some stupid things and some wonderful things. If the US had not joined in the fight in WW I Europe would still be a mess. If we had not joined the fight in WWII, we'd all be goose stepping and hailing Hitler. But if we had avoided Korea and Vietnam we would not be looked upon as bullies.

But talent for war is not the greatest thing to be admired, especially a people who came from a position of strength.

Black people are admirable for the way they have survived and often thrived since slavery was officially abolished. Black people survived the degredations of the KKK after the Civil War and also the degredations they confronted when coming north and finding that northern whites were prejudiced against them, but we didn't have laws regarding separate water fountains and restaurants. We just didn't hire black people, except for the most menial jobs.

And fighting for their rights during the 60's was a courageous thing, above all.

But I have to say that Bill Cosby is not only my favorite black hero, but a favorite hero in general. He had the nerve last year to tell black people who are stuck in poverty and drugs that much of the fault is their own. He imitated the way some black people talk - Sorry, but every minority who ever came to this country succeeded only when they took on the ways, norms and speach of that society. "Talking Black" just sounds unintelligent, especially when a person has been educated. It's one thing to keep the "twang" or accent, that actually sounds pretty cool, but it's quite another thing to use bad English. I think the ancestors of many black people today would be horrified at the way so many of their grand children and great grand children insist on separating themselves from white society by using bad grammar aand bizarre made up names - like Lakeesha, Moorisha, Millonoo. It would be one thing if they were real names from African culture, but they are just made up to sound African.

I think all races have undeniable determination to control. The Europeans managed to get the upper hand by a combination of three things, 1) Access to steel and coal for industrialization, 2) They were immune to a lot of diseases (because they already went through many sickensses), and 3) due to competition of over population.

That is one way to look at it. Other peoples of the world just have different priorities maybe. They place importance on different things. I do not know why white (or European) people in general have a bug up the *** to travel and conquer. Was it to get away from all that cold snow, ice and bears and find some good spicy food??

As a person you can acknowledge whomever you want, whenever where ever, but no, blacks do not need to have white history month were they write essays on their favorite courageous, bloodthirsty white. lol

naw, it's not wrong at all. And there are things that blacks have done that deserve the same recognition that you have given us. Like during the time of Martin Luther King Jr. That took some serious guts to do what you guys did. And it made things better in the end.

tyron .... Can you take a minute to consider this: All those who were marching in Selma and Atlanta and in Mississippi and Lousiana, were not only Black people. Many of us were genuinely furious beyond anything you can ever imagine that Americans living in this nation were unable to vote, use a public restroom, drink from a public fountain, walk down any side of the street they wished, go to any school in the town in which they lived, attend any church or concert they wanted.

Furious doesn't begin to cover how so many of us felt. And our skin was not Black. But we did not belive segregation laws in the South were American. So we fought and marched, and worked, and bled, and DIED so everyone in this nation had the right to live free.

Please consider this when the overwhelming need and urge to HATE white people overcomes you.

You neglected to list the many contributions and famous,powerful people with black skins.For that matter,yellow skins or slant eyes.Then there is small people and tall people.
In the end there is people.And if those people allow themselves to be tricked into discrimination of another race, creed or religion , then it is their loss and education is the answer.Space exploration, how about giving space education to all the people around us.

I prefer the term human for you as well as myself as earthling sounds too much like an alien term . and submit the multi ethnic nature of the accomplishments of science and soldiering are more evident today than black and white devision you speak of . Surely you realize the Viet nam effort and the war in Iraq are manned by people from every nationality as Americans.
