you should start by eating a tiny bit less every day. but DON'T starve yourself. a lot of girls try starving themselves and then they stuff their faces the next day. that doesn't work because the body then feels you are starving and stores even more fat. eat just enough to make the hunger go away and chew your food very well before. yes running is very good. do sit ups as well.

Running in a sweat jacket will lose one thing - fluid. And if you don't replace the fluid you will suffer dehydration and become ill. As soon as you do replace the fluid you will gain the weight again that you lost as it is not true weight loss. Fast weight loss is not a good thing. The better way is to eat well and healthy and exercise 30 or more minutes a day.

No - it's not the "best" way - nor the fastest.
Very often after a hard exercise, you give in and rest. This means that you do not use very much calories per day.
Best way to use a lot of calories is not to sit or lay down. Just keep on you two legs and do small work around the house or walk with you friends - don't sit - walk all day long...
(Okay - let's not over do it, but you get the meaning.)

No- this will just take off your water weight- which will come back. Better to run, or walk and let yourself naturally prespire- while hydrating with fluids.
