It seems that everytime I open Yahoo news there are dead people. How many so far? Who is keeping track?

From the paper I have the last count as of January 28th 2007 the number is 3,080. I'm keeping track because I'm writing a book of poetry dedicated to troops including the fallen. That's not including civilian loses.

The numbers are staggering, & have been for centuries in that region. The killing & fighting has it's roots in religious ideology that preceded our military involvement & will certainly continue long after our overdue departure.

Too many inncent women, children, and families lost; American and Iraqi. Over no good reason at all. Sad, just sad.
