yea they are a huge source but i heard that some of the shows arn't really real they actually re do sceans if the producers don't like them or they jus plan the sceans and shoot them that way...

Does it really matter if they are real? I mean, we all still watch reality TV even though the media exposed it for how fake it is. It's just entertainment, and they get a huge source of income. I believe the people on the show are showing their real personalities, but the producers set up the situations and certain reactions. People are just fascinated with reality TV, real or not.

I think quite a few of them are a huge source of income..and some of them have huge prizes or contracts at the end of them as in Survivor ...The Amazing race and American idol .....
I think shows like The House Of Carters is real .....I really feel sorry for the Carter Kids .....yeah they have alot of material things , but sheesh ..their parents have alot to answer for as far as the emotional garbage they put them through.
One of the worst shows is The Flavour of Love ..WTH ???? He is just a Tramp ...he sleeps with everybody.....and those girls have no self respect ..is this what some "reality shows" are about ? .sheeeeesh .. it's a wonder he hasn't got an STD ..and what is it with the clock around the neck ?? hasn't he heard of watches? I can't even imagine what the women see in him ..IMO all the girls that go on there are in it for the 15 minutes of fame .....because it's obvious he is NO catch at all.
I'm sure the reality show fad will eventually fade out and only the strong ones will remain.

I think it is a source of income because if it would be real then why they would select celebrities for the show.

No they are not real. Because it is the source of income. When judges say now they want to walkout from the show so why the producer are not contrpl them? why are they looking in quarrel? why they are not solving their problems? If it is shows then why are participent voting them for them? so, I think it is not reality shows.

Reality tv does not exist if it is not live. If it is recorded, edited and then showed it defeats the purpose because due to the chopping and editing of it, we never know what truly happens in all situations but only what they want us to see. I think it just like everything in this is world is controlled for no reason by the wrong people.

they are both real and a huge source of income...this is a fresh concept on tv...n its being lapped up like crazy both by the audiences and the channels...to describe it in a short way its unreal reality.....reality with a twist.....half of what they show us is fake...n we know it....so might as well put up our feet n njoy it!!
