Okay I have a Dell Inspiron 1200 and I don't know how to charge it I have this kind of AC Adapter http://i5.tinypic.com/331hbmr.jpg
but its from dell and it has the 3 holes in it. Where do I stick them 3 holes?

That is a "Keyed" socket. It is made that way so the the cord that attached to it will only plug in, one way. You should have th other have that actually plug into the computer power plug.
If you look at the cord on the right you can see what I mean. Sorry I could not find a better picture.

You should have another cord and that cord will plug into the wall outlet. The part you see attached to the other end stick that in the pc, and it should plug on the back on the 1200.

there should be another part to it that goes into the wall. one end has 3 holes that goes into the adaptor n the other into the outlet in the wall.
