While I would not presume to be as intelligent or more intelligent then Einstien, I would say that meat is what made the human evolution realistic. The intake of meat as a staple of the human diet increase the size of man's jaws and increase the size of his skull as a whole, allowing the brain to grow bigger.

However, as I would not presume my intellect superior, I would say that the substitution of meat by the suplementation of synthetic protein would suffice to provide for humans protein requirements.

Humans were neither designed nor evolved to eat meat. We do not have canines, we have incisors. Check out the wikipedia article below, we don't have ANY teeth that shaped like that. Human's have teeth CALLED canines because they occupy the same location (3rd from midline). They have very different functions. To be really useful as ripping teeth, they must extend below the line of contact. The true teeth of carnivores is the carnassials, of which, human have none. Just like humans were not designed or evolved to fly, we have learned to do so.

The evidence of vegetarian diets extending the lifespans of entire populations is overwhelming. National Geographic did an issue last year on long-living populations. All of them were either vegetarian or emphasized diets with a large portion of vegetables.

One may LIKE to eat meat, the does not make it healthier for one to do so.

A quote from Adolf Hitler.

"One may regret living at a period when it's impossible to form an idea of the shape the world of the future will assume. But there's one thing I can predict to eaters of meat: the world of the future will be vegetarian."

Hitler may or may not have been a vegetarian, depending on the source.

Humans have been omnivorous for a long time, but I think Einstein meant it would save a lot of the environment, imagine this, all the animals slaughtered consume millions of acres every year and eventually the land will not be able to recooperate

Evolutionary speaking, we were design for a diet that includes meat. Religiously speaking, God made us for a diet that includes meat. Either way, we need to eat meat.

They both promote vegetarianism. I'm a steak man myself so I care for neither of these quotes.

Humans were meant to eat meat. That's why we have canine teeth.
