easy 2 bake valentines day cookies and punch.
they could also make valentine's day cards in the shape of hearts out of construction paper for their parents.
it'd be cool if they could spend the whole day just having fun.

Get a dvd or video!!

Have an assembly!
Remember those great days way back when in school, and
the teacher would bring in the AV machine and show us some
Ski or surf movie or Nature stuff!

I thought that was really cool!

That would be inexpensive, quiet, educational and fun,
stress-free for you for an hour!

Then have them write a little poem or something about it.
Or a paragraph and turn it into their card for the day.

Otherwise get Costco Cake or Sam's Club cake and sugar them up.

I'd say ask them to submit ideas, into a suggestion box,
then take 3 ideas and have ballets, and let them vote!!
Add the movie/video Idea.

How cool would that be???
YOU could justify all kinds of civics and government and history in doing that.

Have them watch a very cool documentary on Nature, or A State Park, Or the Hawaiian Islands.

My library lets us check out videos on travel for free.
Gosh so many possiblities.

YOU could do an Olympics Day.
Make ribbons, have relay races, long and short jumps.
Rent a video about the olympics.

Have fun, be creative, it's not all about food, it's about qualilty time.

Go to the $1 store and see about a discount for bulk items
like pencils or erasers. That's what I got my 4th and 5th graders.
