Unhappiness is a personal problem. I am not judging or hating, but there is nothing I can do about someone else's problems if I don't know him. As for all these wars around the world, I am a pacifist and yet a realist.
You won't hear me criticizing harsh sanctions and a pre-emptive strike on Iran to eliminate their nuclear stockpile and uranium enrichment program. Someone should intervene and stop the flow of arms from Russia to Iran at the borders, ports, railroads and airports.
I didn't create Somalia, Iraq or Afghanistan. What is going on in Chechnya and Kosovo are not my ideas. I feel sorry for them and if we can in some way help them and stop it, we should.

There are so many people in America--and you are generalizing by saying that most Americans seem unhappy!!! Never generalize because people comes in all shapes and sizes and all thoughts!!!Please do not ask a question with no research nor surveys done on it ?? Based on Whose statistical observation do you make such an assumption!!! Come on!!! ASK SPECIFIC QUESTIONS!!! DON'T WASTE MY TIME ANSWERING SUCH STUPID QUESTION__anyway I am glad to answer you so that you will be very clear that you MUST NOT BE TOO PRESUMPTIOUS!!!

Because the media sensationalizes everything and only shows the negative side of America. I'm American and I'm happier than I've ever been in my life. I recognize there are global issues taking place that affect me on a personal level and I choose to be proactive in dealing with these issues, not allowing the media dictate how or what I should feel.

Some people's happiness are derived from the unhappiness of others. . Some people are too lazy to do a thing for themselves and be able to say to him- or herself: "I do it". Instead, they get off via tearing down someelse's self-image.
My sister tried her best to tear down mine. She felt that sense she, unlike me, has no disabilities, should be the favorite. In the meantime, she was stealing, lying manipulating and just being narcississistic. Now, she's paying for it.

Dissillusionment is part of the American culture.
However, the war is a major reason for unhappiness, and if everyone raised their voice, they would be heard.

Because we have lost sight of what is important. Greed, careers, and more stuff has taken priority over God, relationships, fun and values. Americans want it all and they want it now!
Life is not Burger King...you cannot always have it your way in 30seconds or less!
