One year I had a very severe, widespread poison ivy reaction. They put me on high doses of prednisone. After a couple weeks on it I had wild mood swings. I would be severely depressed, crying and having suicidal thoughts. Two hours later I would be euphoric and be laughing and singing and dancing around the house. I also would get paranoid and thought someone had broke into the house and I walked around with a butcher knife checking every room. Since the drugs greatly relieved the excruciating itching, burning, pain and swelling and I knew these mental symptoms were side effects I stayed on them until the allergic reaction ran its course.

well, if you are talking perscription- there are a few pain killers that can have adverse effects if you are not careful - and the anti anxieties are great- Xanax is good but very addictive- can't do it.
illegal drugs?- well, PCP made me freak out and I never did it again!! I use to get freaked on Pot sometimes too but don't do that anymore either. I am pretty much "drug free" and hating it but you gotta grow up sometime
Peace!

i have to take like 8 pills a day for many different reasons ( and im only 15 ) but one time i had to take vicodin, and even when i didnt need it, i would take it because it would make me fall asleep and i was addicted. it was freaky. but then it ran out, and i wasnt allowed any more, so it stopped.

Flexaril-muscle relaxant, made me feel like I was underwater

Tylenol 3 w/codene-made me see spots.

Pamelor-kept me up for 50+ hrs straight. I didn't need it but the quack who was treating me at the time made me take it.
