There might be a lot of different products that are abundant. Ask the embassy or maybe you could visit there and find out yourself.

Whatever it is, probably came from China.

Most of the inexpensive stuff on sale in Philippines is a real soooft synthetic - so in the summer you'll be hot and sweaty because it doesn't breathe like 100% cotton.
