It all depends on what one watches. Watching the Simpson's religiously the past 19 years has been an enlightenment for me. Doh!

Depends on what you watch. If you watch Bevis and Butthead, my answer would be no. If you watched shows on the biography channel, history channel, discovery channel, etc., I would say, yeah, you would learn something.
