I am a sophmore in college and I want to join the track team. I was wondering if they would allow me to walk on. I am a good runner.

Really depends on the school and if its a big one,there recruiting class.

I run for united statesA. song and field and Im engaged on the Olympics. yet human beings in college song run the 4 hundred meters in approximately forty seven seconds and the 800 meters in a million:50. get an outstanding sort of coaching in befor attempt outs... I think a lot of college track, especially cross country, is based on your work ethic. One of the walk-ons at my D1 school was intent on attending the school for educational reasons, and had also set on trying for the XC team. He is now one of the captains because of his strong work ethic. If you are willing to push yourself, and you have the talent, its far from impossible.

It depends on what level and on your ability. If it's division III, chances are you can walk on. If it's division I, you've got to be a stud. I would recommend talking to the coach if you're interested in joining.

It is difficult but not impossible!! go ahead and speak with the coach?? If you have any credentials go and give it to the coach!! Work hard and don't quit!!!
