I would just get a BBQ going and cook some dogs, burgers, sausages or anything else your friends or family might like.

The orange cheesy doritos are basically the same here as there, and so are the ranch flavour ones. You can serve it with guacamole, sour cream and salsa. I used to buy all of those at Sainsbury's when I lived in East Sussex. Just in case you've never made guacamole- - mash a ripe avocado - add a dab of minced or mashed garlic - a chopped, small tomato - a jalapeno, chopped (optional) - cilantro (optional) - chopped red onion (optional) - lime or lemon juice (to keep the colour nice and green) Burgers and fries with ketchup are a staple if you want hot food; you can also cook chicken wings and serve them with a hot sauce like Franks Red Hot or Tobasco. I think we got 'McCain' brand frozen wings while in the UK. Drinks? You could get Budweiser or such, but it tastes like ****. I dislike American beer, along with all my friends, unless it's a good microbrew, and would probably stick to European beer and the good old fashioned American soda pop staples - Coca Cola, Sprite, Pepsi, 7 up, root beer. You could serve, for sweets, something typically American like a chocolate brownie from a mix or pre-made. I'd offer a recipe, but I've never had luck making brownies at home.
