"I think we should take things slow, I really like you but we are also really good friends and I don't want that to get ruined." Is this the classic i just wanna be friends line...or is it the friendship that marriages are built on?

She said this to me online. And she was the one that told me she liked me. Otherwise i would never have asked her out. Does this make a difference to any of your answers?

Sounds to me like she is trying to be as upfront honest with you as possible sharing that she is uncertain of her feelings for you at this time other than good friends and does not want to jepordize that in any way.

At any rate, it is best to be good friends first.

Cherish that either way, for good friends can be hard to come by!

If meant to be something more, it will work out!

It means that you are not the only person on her life right now. You are obviously reading too far into her statement. What she means is that she is currently seeing someone else but is in the process of deciding when to break it off with him and move on.
You are probably not the only person that she is considering moving on with. She, as most women do, always have at least 3 other men considered in their future before breaking it off with their current man. This way, she has someone to "lean on" after making the transition and this helps preserve her emotional health.
This has nothing to do with "ruining a friendship" or marriage.

Well, it might be a 'classic just wanna be friends line' but, for me.. maybe she's also a lil quite unsure about how she feels about you too.. Why don't just let it flow, maybe within the time goes by, she feels 'the right click' with you then maybe both of you can be in a relationship... Just let it go with the flow, by still make friends like how it used to be... If both of you're destined to be together then she'll be yours...

for sure friendship that a marriage is built on. She cares about you and dosn't want it to be one of those one night kinda things and then your never friends again or your friendship is ruined! love her for loving you!

You're not giving us enough information. If she's saying that she wants to take things slow, you're sounding like there is at least something going on. Are you at least kissing this girl? If not, it is probably that you're falling into the dreaded 'friend zone".

i had a really good friend once who asked me out. i wanted to stay friends because i really liked him and if our relationship was to get ruined we wouldn't be friends. i said yes not to hurt his feelings, but things got bad and we don't even talk.

It means that she wants to take things slow and that she thinks you're great to be around.
