Amazing movie, amazing cast, amazing soundtrack!!!
George Lucas directing his own stuff AND it is actually GOOD!!!
Also, if it were not for this movie, there would have NEVER been a TV series, "Happy Days".

It's great and was ground-breaking with its release in 1973. Good watch after high school graduation - like The Graduate is after college graduation. Thank Lucas for inventing the concept of a pop/various artists soundtrack. This is the first movie to ever use music that was popular for the time period (50's and 60's) and not have a soundtrack/score written exclusively for it.

Classic movie--pretty much launched George Lucas' career, along with Richard Dreyfuss and Harrison Ford, and gave Ron Howard something to do before he started directing. Of course, the movie basically lead to the tv series "Happy Days," which launched careers for Henry Winkler and Penny Marshall.

great movie
did you know that Harrison Ford originaly was not the pick for Han Solo in Star Wars movies, but after working with Lucas on Graffiti, Lucas asked him to come in and do some voice work with Hammil and Fisher. By the time they were done Lucas changed his mind.

Being a product of the 50s culture, I can vouch that it is on the mark. All of it.
