im in eighth grade and last year i kind of sunk into depression. i spent that whole year sad and i couldnt figure out why, my dad has been on anti depressants before so it runs in the fam. i have always been extremely insecure about my weight, now, i look at old pics and i know that i didnt used to be fat at all. apparently i had everyone convinced that i wuz anorexic from 5th-7th grade. the problem is, now i am jelous of my old self. i know it sounds really messed up, but i want my tiny body back. i cant stop thinking about how fat i am and how i need to lose weight its like i am in two places, i tell myself im not fat but then i just stop eating t l. i have this huge fear that i am gonna get fat and i dont want to get an eating disorder but as i mature and gain lbs, i find myself starving myself. its like a habit, like i have to do it. im not asking for diet tips or anything i just want to know what to do. i am 5"2' and about 100 punds i know that i shouldnt be self concious but i am

First of all, remember that as you get taller and develop muscles, that will make you weigh more. Don't focus on the numbers on the scale.
See if you can find some books at the library, and talk to your school counselor about getting help. Are you comfortable talking to your parents? You should try that, since your dad has had some of the same problems.

Honey you need to go to a doctor. See either a psychiatrist or a nutritionist- or both. I don't think you're quite at an eating disorder but it could easily develop into one. Take care of it now before it gets worse. Go see a doctor. Really. It'll help. Tell your parents whats been going on and they will be more than eager to take you to a doctor if they are any kind of good parents.

hun, its okay cause i know what ur feeling. ive felt the same. stop looking back and wishing, and focus on what ur good at and love to do. you'll feel better. hang around people who like you for who you are, and not what you look like. Think positive, and not negative! follow my advice and stop worrying! just be careful, if you developed an eating disorder, it would do severe damage to ur body. its okay, look on the brightside, and try talking to ur parents as well.

Oh my gosh.....lol.....calm down....ive felt the same way...this is what happened to me just read kk.....When i got into like 7th or 8th grade i was like 5'5 and weighed like 120 or so right....then as i grew up i got taller now im 5'9 and 150....i was freaking out cuz my body grew so fast!!!!....and your body is to!!!!......but hey your 5'2 and 100pounds!!!.....thats GREAT!!!!!!....seriously im not kidding......you sound like you have an adorible body...kk.....dont worry....ive wanted to stop eating and i have but it never helped cuz i just messed up my body system....so dont do that kk.....your body's gonna keep changing but respect it and take care of it....dont hate it.....your getting a figure that girls start getting as they grow so your doing fine just take care of your body...kk....goodluck and be happy=)

You need to talk to an adult, best friend, or counselor, before you do something you'll regret later. I've been there, it almost ruined my life. Learn to love yourself the way you are. God made you, so you are perfect. Be smart and talk about it!

if you're seriously worried then you should talk to your doctor or even just an adult you can trust. I know it sounds stupid, but i've been in the same spot and it was actually a medical issue. good luck...
