would you date a liar? I am seeing this girl and Its difficult for her to say the truth at any given occasion. and in a funny way , it has turned me into some kind of detective. I resent the fact that i have to dig 3 miles into the ground to get the truth instead of getting it straight from her. but that seems the only choice I have. So to put it simply. I don't trust her. That brings me to the second question; would you date somebody you don't trust? OK nobody is perfect. but is not-telling-the-truth one of the imperfections we have to put up with?

I have dated one of the biggest liars in the free world. He's tried to come back twice but I don't want him. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. Trust is too important.

Ugh! Absolutely not! You don't have to put up with it. In my dealings with people, I've come across liars. I have never figured out why they compulsively lie. It's like a game to them or like hypochondriacs (sp?). They do it for the attention. It seems they don't care about the repercussions either. They can bold face lie to you knowing full well that you could easily find out the truth, but they stick by what they say. So weird.

If she is a liar, what if she cheats? You'll never get the truth out of her. You're putting yourself at risk for heartache and diseases.

I say.....RUN FOR THE HILLS!!!

I'm guessing you care about her, b/c your with her. To tell you the truth though, I wouldn't be with a liar and even if it is small lies at first, it possibly will turn into worse things. You don't deserve that, If you care about someone you don't lie to them. Apperantly she doesn't care to much about you. She should be honest with you even if it hurts you. Just because that's what a respectful person would do.......... Plus if she lies about small things god knows what she will lie to you about.

No. Trust is an essential part of a relationship. And it sounds like she has a serious communcation problem. Doesn't seem worth it to me.

If you can't trust her any further than you could throw her, then lose her. One of the foundations of a relationship is trust, and if you can't trust her, then you can't and shouldn't put any more time into that relationship.
