texas is great, new york is meant to be great. if you like to be a tourist, then spend all your money on black market designer labels and cab fares in new york. but, texas is a great place, theres six flags theme park which is amazing, mm funnel cakes. i reccomend satying at the premier holiday inn in dallas fort worth, cause theres a cracker barrel resturante right down the street (best deep south place to eat EVER, mmm cajun catfish)

New York Because There Are So Many Things You Can Do And See In New York Texas Is Just A Bunch Of People Who Have Bad Accents. I Totaly Dont Get Why People In Texas Have Accents I Mean There In Texas A State Not A Country It Is Like They Want Their Own Language.

There are many more things to do in New York then in Texas. The only thing that would be a problem is the price to fly and stay there not including doing anything else. If money is not a problem, then go for New York. In Texas, it is way too hot, definately in July. What are you going to do in Texas? If money is a problem, go to somewhere more exciting, like Arizona- to the Grand Canyon( I have been there 3 times and I am still amazed at how amazing it is). Hope you have a great time in America.

Both places are incredible. It depends on what you want to do. Manhattan is big and wonderful, with buildings taller than my mountains, great places to shop and dine, and is a city that never sleep. Upstate New York is simply beautiful, too. Texas is more easy-going, but the cities are filled with things to do. If you pick Texas, stay near San Antonio. It is a beautiful city with a river right through the middle, and it has the Alamo. I love both places. I hope you have a wonderful trip to the USA, and I wish you could see many other places - including New York and Texas. Anyway, have a great time and let us know what you think!!

Go to Chicago. It is a fraction of the price of New York and just as interesting. There are great museums, parks, beaches (the southern coast of lake michigan) great resturaunts and bars, great shopping. You would have alot of fun there.
Also, Texas is not that great, especially Dallas. I have heard San Antonio is ok.

I have to agree that if your only choices are texas or ny then take new york. If he decides to take you to texas though dont be scared cause the statement made here about Texas are not all true.

George Bush is a Texan, need I say more. New York is one of world's great cities, you'll never run out of things to do. One day in Texas and you'll be bored to death, unless you like brainless gun-toting methamphetamine freaks who listen to nothing but country music and watch WWE.

I'd say neither.
SEATTLE (in Washington state) is absoloutely gorgeous in the summer. Really incredible.
Lots of natural beauty, lots of things to do (the Experience Music Project, the Space Needle), and great people...
If you HAD to choose between New York and Texas, I'd choose New York. Texas is very hillbilly and republican... But maybe you like that, I don't know.
