Why does the liberal media claim?

that every democrat candidate for president is a "rockstar"? According to the media, Bill Clinton was a rockstar, John Edwards was a rockstar, John Kerry was a rockstar, and now Barack Obama is a rockstar. Also, does anyone think that a 45 year old muslim with a beer gut walking shirtless on a beach is hot? I dont know how girls think now days, so maybe this is what is considered sexy nowdays.

They're trying to come up with something nice to say about the other candidates as well,but it's just soooo difficult, and there's a lot of young chicks that find an old dude,on a rigid chopper pretty sexy,at least,immediately after a putt,down the highway, that is.... it seems to bring the tiger out in them.....

Why do liberals have to deny the truth. FOX News has a Conservative bias and talk radio is dominated by Conservatives. It is a fact, nothing I can do or say will change that. Outside of these mediums almost all other forms of media are dominated by liberals. It is a fact that you or I cannot change. Why is it something that you feel the need to dispute or deny. It seems as if liberals spend most of their time trying to convince the rest of the world that the things they believe in and the facts associated with them are not true. I believe it would help you cause if you were just honest and stated you beliefs clearly; no more reinventing yourself. As an added bonus you would not have to remember what label you are using each day; you would not have to check the talking points to remember if you are a socialist, a liberal or a progressive or whatever comes next. Simplicity is wonderful sometimes.

Truly none of them are "rockstars" and frankly I have never heard any of them referred to as that anyway. But if they indeed have been, its probably to appeal to younger people, to peek their interest. I don't know, maybe Clinton was just because he is a musician. And about the beer gut old Muslim guy who is 45? Well um not so much no....actually he's the wrong gender for me all together. Girls like intelligence, so if he is really smart then maybe, or rich. Lol. Just kidding about the rich part.

Your question undermines itself. I'll leave aside that the media isn't that liberal ... another discussion entirely. You ask why the media says "every democrat candidate" is a rock star. Your premise is incorrect; they don't.

Al Gore? Bob Vilsack? Mike Dukakis? Al Sharpton? Joe Biden? Wes Clark? Hilary Clinton?

Come on, there abundant Democratic (not democrat) candidates for president who are never called rock stars.

A few people in the media call a few candidates rockstars briefly during the period when they're new and exciting and crowds are getting enthusiastic. Those same, supposedly liberal, media, join in like hungry jackals a few months later when the ex-rock star stumbles or some smelly bit of their past comes out.

Meanwhile, the media is just as respectful or disrespectful of Republican candidates. They never seemed to tire of lauding (actual) movie star Ronald Reagan's crowd-stirring abilities or optimism, they gave the seriously right-wing John McCain seriously good billing as a maverick the whole time till W suckerpunched him in '00 and they were pretty nice on the whole to W himself during the campaign. Meanwhile, can you blame them for not pitching Alan Keyes as a rock star? Or Gary Bauer? Gerald Ford? Orrin Hatch?

As for the second part of your question, I can't imagine thinking a 45-year-old Muslim, man or woman, with a beer gut walking shirtless on a beach is hot. Ew. Not my cup of tea, certainly. But what I don't get is the connection of this question with the earlier part about allegedly "rock star" candidates. At first glance, I thought it might be some kind of reference to Barack Obama, but that can't be. You profess to be concerned about bias in media, and while I disagree with you about the "liberal media," I wholly believe in your good faith in raising the issue. So it is impossible to believe that you are basing this query about shirtless Muslims on the unfounded, ill-intentioned and wholly debunked claims made by some in the conservative media that Obama is a radical Muslim. I just can't accept you'd be that kind of rumormongering twit.

What's the "liberal media" anyway? Anything to the left of Limpy? Normal Americans turn on the news/sitcom/movie they like and simply watch it. You fundie freaks over-anal-ize everything and then demonize the shows with skirts above the knee.
