I'm a primary teacher, i'm really stuck for names of maths groups !
any good suggestions?
They are 9 and 10 year olds.

Math Mules, Algebra Unknowns, Variable Volcanoes or Vultures, Fraction Foxes, Decimal Diamonds, Pentagon Penguins. Hope these will help you out or give you some ideas to start out with. Maybe the kids can come up with others. Give them a chance. It's their name.

I think the children should have a chance in coming up with a name as they would be the ones in the group and it would be something they would like instead of restricting them to a couple of names they may not like. it gives the children a chance to devolpe communication and team work skills plus proplem solving.
