It can be. If you don't know what's in it, don't feed it to your dog. Not to mention the fact that it can decrease the liklihood that he'll eat his own food.

Restaurant food is generally bad for YOU (I'm generalizing - there are a lot of REALLY GOOD RESTAURANTS IN THE WORLD, PEOPLE), and table scraps in general are not recommended for your pets, so feed your dog a good dog food.

I have actually heard that some restaurants have a "doggy" menu. Certain low cholesterol and low fat foods that have been approve for consumption by pets. The idea is that you will order the food and possibly buy too much that you can't eat it all (on purpose) and take the left-overs home to the pet.

We never give our dog table scraps...it simply isnt healthy. My aunt did that all the time and the poor dog got terribly fat and probably died as a result. Our dog is perfect in terms of size and weight, we feed Science Diet dog food.

In case you dont know...Never feed a dog chocolate, it can be like poison. Chicken bones can break and splinter causing it to choke.

'Restaurant food' is a bit broad. Shouldnt kill the dog unless it's chocolate. But seriously, dog food is cheaper.

human food is not meant for animals. if it were, then dog and cat food would never have been made. causes weight and health problems, and increases begging.
as for what to do? stop feeding it people food. the high fat is not good, much less all the sugar. you are slowly killing the pet you claim you love.

you're not supposed to treat your dog like a person. So I only feed my dog food. Occasionally, she gets a bone when I have them.
