Yup, it really is based on your interest. Personally I find biochemistry to be a little bit more harder than molecular biology. I've always preferred biology to chemistry, anyway. In molecular biology, as those who've answered have stated, you'll learn more about the processes, and in biochemistry, you'll learn about the components. I've studied both subjects briefly, and I preferred molecular biology. It's easier to remember. (even though I scored A+ for both subjects, lol.)

Molecular biology is more biology based, while biochemistry concentrates on the chemistry of living processes. Which is your stronger subject, chemistry or biology? Do you enjoy studying the specific chemical processes, reactions and products or do you prefer learning about interactions between the various systems of a cell like DNA, RNA and protein synthesis, their regulation etc.
Personally I prefer molecular biology but someone with a strong chemistry background would probably like biochemistry better. Good luck!

The bove person is a little confused - what they are referring to is "Microbiology". Molecular biology deals with DNA and it's expression (i.e. the expression of genes to generate mRNA which is translated into protein). There is considerable overlap between the two, however I think molecular biology has far more applications (I'm a molecular biologist, so I'm more than a little biased). As has been stated, it really depends on your strengths and interests.

...well like the other one said..its based on your interest..

biochemistry- deals with biological chemicals such as adrenaline that are made inside the body by special organs...

molecular biology- deals mostly with microscopic organisms such as the organisms in kingdom monera & protista and a little of fungi....
