How the mighty have fallen.
Remember the blacklisting of the Dixie Chicks?
Remember "freedom fries"?
Remember the boycott of French products?
Remember when Tim Robbins was banned from the baseball hall of fame for being a "traitor"?
Now Bush says that was all a misunderstanding. But there is no misunderstanding. The "liberal traitors" were always right and the war criminal Bush was always wrong.

Randy, where was your "divided we fall" rhetoric when Bush and his thugs were calling us traitors for believing Iraq was not a threat?

John D, you seem pretty convinced that the meaning of life is to make money. Try and open your mind.

jason p, it's a slam dunk case that the Iraq war violates international law, and therefore the man who started it is a war criminal.

You've proven a good point.
Even when GWB attempts a compromise you turn your back.
It is this attitude both on the far right and the far left that can keep our country divided as a nation.
United We Stand Divided We Fall
I guess leaving Iraqi citizens to be slaughtered by the millions isn't our problem.
We are there.
It is our responsibility to protect and follow through for if nothing else the thousands of children that WILL be slaughtered as a result of pulling out.
By the way every wartime president has been duped ignorant, an embarrassment, and a loser. In the end when they stuck to their principles they are remembered as the greatest of the great.
Those whom don't learn from the past are condemned to repeat it. (Abraham Lincoln) ... his ratings were in the single digits and Truman at one point was roughly 25% before the war ended.

everyday, civil, effective discourse is fantastic and welcomed. that's a power in a democracy. even nonetheless what's objectionable is how indiscriminately the Libs blindly bash each thing that Bush says or does. If God himself got here down from Heaven on a shaft of sunshine and proclaimed to the international that Bush became into doing stable artwork, the Libs might purely say, "@ss kisser Bush!".

To be fair, I don't think Bush himself was making many public statements about the Dixie Chicks or Tim Robbins. But boy howdy, his supporters sure were, weren't they? Maybe more and more of us will realize that we can disagree and debate without that being seen as an act of outright aggression.

Dixie chicks were not "blacklisted". Thier conservative base just stopped buying thier records. Those other issues were also movements in the general population not long after 911 (there were voices from France saying we were partly to blame for 911). Bush had nothing to do with any of those things to my knowlege.
How do you define war criminal. Starting a war for whatever reason doesn't make someone a war criminal. Blantant disregard for the geneva convention, targeting civilians, and ehtic cleansing would make someone a war criminal. I don't recall Bush doing any of these things. You may disagree with the rational to go into Iraq, but lets try to keep the accusations accurate. jason

Low and behold the Almighty Mr. President was wrong.
Wait, did he say this before or after his Secretary of Defense quit and left him with a full house of Demo's?
