Because the Democrats will get to come along and fix the economy again. Bush is maxing out the national credit cards and then leaving.

1st you cant blame 1 president for the national debt. You can blame all the presidents and congress from the years past. 2nd you can stop pointing fingers. Democrates blame Republicans, Republicans blame Democrates. The circle goes on and on. The thing is the USA will always help out other countries and give billions on billions on dollars to do it.
The real only way for the government to pay off the national debt is to export more than we import and to drill our own oil up in Alaska and sell it to other countries. Using all the money to pay toward the national debt. I dont see anyone offering any suggestions just blame George W.Bush. When I remember we have always had a national debt. The illusion you people have is that the Democrates are gonna save the day. THEY WONT and why because they are government. If its not broke fix it until it is.

ok ill address your question first: because
A: too many stupid lazy americans who don't go and vote when they had the opportunity, yet complain about the result
B: voting isn't compulsory like in other nations (this does work)
C: the biggest BS artist the planet will ever see was voted in, TWICE
i heard on australian news yesterday that george bush wanted $10 BILLION US to fund extra troops...i mean what about HEALTH CARE, like other 1st world nations have, better schools and hospitals, new airports, highways and other infrastructure, greener power initiatives plus greener power plants & ways of producing power, more police(possibly) or better training for them...the list goes on

now the terrorist thing...well no offence to 9-11 victims, they defenelty did not deserve to suffer, no doubt
but the U.S government has pushed other nations round for years, acting as though they owned the place, trying to fix everyone else before having a damn hard look at themselves...crime is out of control, companies are leaving for china, india and mexico, the economy is defently not in its best shape, racial tentions are reaching breaking point...all these issues, along with global warming need to be adressed, starting with something better than Kyoto

the main reason most nations have weapons is simple...because the US refuses to give its share up...why would South Korea give up nuclear missiles when the US will continue to keep it's supply?if anything, the US is the real terroist, and anyone that dare's to not agree with it is in the warpath....you willl never create better links with nations if you continue to build up your weapons supply

batman suggested...."they're both undesirable yet a minimum of conserving the war over there protects us the following!" really Batman the war in Iraq has really no longer something to do with our safe practices the following. That war does no longer make us safer. You adult adult males are delusional in case you imagine the Iraq war has something to do with the U. S. being safer. Afghanistan, you could make that arguement for the reason that it is the position terrorists were being educated. If Iraq grew to change right into a probability to our nationwide safe practices it merely did so when we invaded. Do T ...you imagine maximum persons are some distance extra knowledgeable than Obama? He has a regulation degree from Harvard and he recieved his BA, I beleive, from Columbia. the position did you get your education and as a lot as what element. Obama is a rather knowledgeable guy and faraway from an fool, even if you compromise with him or no longer.

This is the first time in the history of the USA that we've gone to war and not raised taxes in order to pay for at least part of that war. Why? My take on it is that the current administration doesn't want to have to be the "bad parent." They want to stress that they haven't raised taxes, as if this is a better gift to us than keeping us out of debt would have been.

it's the neo-con creed to control others through war or economics and sell the products to the middle class in America...they really don't care about the middle class in America and would be happy to rule us as serfs.

Reagan's trickle down economics were a joke...but the averaging out between the Left and the Right eventually produces a good economy...it's time for about a ten year rule by Democrats

We'll just keep borrowing from China, I reckon.

Oh, by the way, our National Debt is 70% of our GDP.
