I know you asked for recommendations for a graphics card, but if I were you I would consider upgrading my PC's RAM before buying a new graphics card.

As to your question...
I am running a Visiontek ATI X1300 512MB RAM PCIE x16
that I bought at circuit city for $100 and it works very well for me.

You can't go cheap if you want to play high end games, it's impossible.
If you buy a cheap card then you will be disappointed cause the games will play very poorly.

So from Cicuit city's website this is what I suggest:
(Listed alphabetically)

1 - ATI All-In-Wonder X1900 256MB PCI Express $319.99

2- EVGA e-GeForce™ 7950 GT Video Card $219.99

3- EVGA e-GeForce 7900 GT Graphics Card $249.99

4- PNY 7950 GeForce GT 512MB PCIe Graphics Card $329.99

5- XFX GeForce 7900GT Graphics Card $299.99
