Well, because scientifically, adam and eve ate an apple and the apple was written in the holy books,
but in real life, WAKE UP, why is a bannan called a bannana and not yellow :D

Actually the orange came first!!! The color orange. . . was named after the fruit the orange. Notice however. . . we also have red delicious and golden delicious apples!
