i used to have a nividia g-force4, and i followed all the instructions to load the new card. i got it installed and the drivers loaded just fine. but when i had to reboot, the screen just comes up black, and thats it. to do anything at all i have to reboot manually to get the same results.

On your monitor it has to gone on the video card. If you leave it in the computer port you will get nothing.

Considering you did this.

You go to CONTROL PANEL , SYSTEM, Hardware, Device manager. Then right click any drivers in the DISPLAY ADAPTER. You have to disable ALL drivers listed there.

With the video card out you can reboot real quick and see if the monitor works BEFORE you put the new video card in. It should since it is connected to the computer. I had the same problem.

I think load your new driver, turn computer off, load new video board, then boot computer. NOTE: Change cable from back of computer port to video card port, after you put video card in. Then if you are sucessfull go to the site and check for any driver upgrades.

Press F8 to get u into safe mode and then let the computer manually search for the driver.
May not work just a thought.

nVidia is a very good choice for gaming. U can buy the nVidia GeForce4 256mb graphics card for smooth gameplay. Yes if u can afford a new RAM u should buy it. It will surely increase the quality of the graphics. Ur processor is celeron which is not so good for gaming.U should try to get a better processor like pentium4 or core 2 duo.
