My good friend of 9 years is pregnant, and I want to throw her a shower but I am not sure how to since I live in another state. she is due in March, so time is running low

Do you want the shower in her state or yours? Get in contact with her significan other or her mother and ask them for the number to her closest friend out there and maybe you can contact her and she can help you. Especially with invites and stuff since she most likely knows all of her friends and aquantaces out there. It's tough, but you should be able to pull it off. Good Luck!

Do you know anyone that lives in that same state with her? Maybe you should talk to her husband...and tell him to make the reservations or whatever it is they have to do. you can do the invites and all and make sure the husband invites people that are in that state. And then you can go there pay him, and be there for the party.

Call her and say you have her mom hostage. When she comes to see you and rescue your mom spring the surprise on her.
