Yes and I think there is some truth in that. As Christians we are only ambassadors here on Earth, God's messengers if you will. We won't always be accepted and not often understood...but alone...we are never truely alone. After Elijah had one of his most significant victories he got depressed and departed to the desert and asked God to take his life because he was the only one and was all alone. God told him NO there was several that had not bowed to the other god and basically told him to snap out of it. Not only did God not take his life as requested but eventually took him to heaven on a fiery chariot. (If we focus on ourselves we will always feel alone but if we are able to keep our focus on others I think we will feel alone less and less.) Understanding I believe is a choice, we can choose to understand each other and make efforts but we can't force others to understand us but when the time is right they will see, I believe.

Always
Sometimes I want/need others to but eventually I know there's something about me they dont get and I will always be alone on this one
Only when I look at the stars do I feel any sense of belonging

Everyone has experienced that feeling. And no one can totally understand you because we all have different experiences that make us unique. Being alone isn't a bad thing. Look at it as time to reflect on things in your life.

Yeah. I feel that loads of times. It's like I'm an alien from some God-knows-where planet that even the tiniest of things that I do are misunderstood by many.

I used to feel that way, until I met my soul mate. Now I'm not alone anymore, and there is always someone who understands me.

Sure, but I don't know how trustworthy I am to believe those feelings. I could be very, very wrong about it and then where would I be? Missing out on not being alone, that's where.
