is there any way of knowing whether Liberals or conservatives benefit more from public support? looking for a site or real facts. Conservatives always complain about Liberals wanting to support people who refuse to work and I propose that there is no way of knowing whether Liberals or Conservatives actually collect more public dole

by the way, I have one child and he's not really liberal because i don't want him to be a clone, but i am always asking him difficult questions so that he will question his belief system and think clearly...thanks "oxy" for the site, it shows that the incredulous conservatives really have an agenda to make dumb up the US

First of all? LOVE your handle, Ford.

Second of all? I agree with you that there's no way to know for sure. I do know that a few years ago, during the worst of the dot.com bust, I saw a *lot* of conservatives who'd held high-paying techno jobs getting a lot more in unemployment than a basic welfare recipient would ever get in food stamps. When I'd ask why they don't just take a lower paying job, they would point out that their next job would decide their salary based on their previous rate, so it was "bad money management" to quit the unemployment as long as there was even a chance they might get another high paying job in the future.

It's probably a mix, as with everything.

Don't forget about corporate welfare. Rich CEOs tend to be conservative. So a good argument could be made that conservatives take more government handouts. Oh, and let's not forget about no bid, cost plus contracts for armaments. If that's not being on the dole, I don't know what is.

Conservatives will show up at soup kitchens and food pantry's. They also have no qualms leaving off unmarried mothers and children at the welfare line.

It's hard to look at the many facets of conservatives being a greater financial burden actually.

I have a solution: let's quit giving public support entirely. No one of any political affiliation should benefit from handouts!

Corporate welfare dwarfs citizen welfare and that latest corporate welfare escapade, the iraq war, has netted billions for bush's pals.
