Notwithstanding the fact of life that every single living being is bound to die, the urge for amassing wealth is increasing in us. The spiritual and moral values, which have been accorded great priority in the Constitution of India, started eroding fast. Also, the Constitution of India stipulates that all citizens are equal and that they all should get equal opportunities in terms everything and also have equal access to natural resources.
Most unfortunately, the building of wealth has been taking at the cost of the very livelihood of others. Though we dare not to collect the statistics of people starving and people begging (even after the Supreme Court’s order in 2004 that there should be not even a single person starving and dying of hungry), we see millions of people around us starving, as we move in air-conditioned costly cars and enjoying costly foods and comforts. There is an urgent need to call this a human tragedy.
This is at this juncture, we need to launch a campaign against building wealth at the cost of the lives who stay or opt to stay out of the competition for wealth.

Sure, that would be great. Then we could all live happy lives. We could feel guilty every day of our lives, knowing that every bite we ate was needed worse by somebody somewhere. We would fear having one dollar more than someone else because that dollar would rightfully be theirs. And we could hate anyone that had one dollar more than us because that dollar was rightfully ours. The fact that we lived might mean someone else would die, so we would steal our existence from unseen victims across the globe.

Or we could be honest and recognize that a person's life is a gift of God, but survival is earned. And that an honest person knows they cannot consume more than they produce. And that wealth has to be created before it can be redistributed, and limits on owning wealth will reduce its creation and make us all poorer.
