College BasketBall is so fast. Why don't they wait until the shot clock is down to 10 seconds to shoot the ball? I don't get it.

Clearly you've never seen Wisconsin play. Under Dick Bennett and now Bo Ryan, the Badgers were/are famous for using up the entire 34 seconds to get a shot off. It's just the old saying, different folks, different strokes. Different teams will play to their different strengths. For D3 Redlands (CA) that recruits entirely guards who can shoot the 3 and subs every 30 seconds, that means hoisting a shot within 10 seconds. For Wisconsin, that traditionally has had decent guards with strong posts, this means working the ball around, working off the posts, setting plays up, and trying to get a good look.

Depends on the team that you're watching. If the team is deep, talented and athletic they will prefer the run-and-gun method (like Memphis). But if they are not they will play a more patient and disciplined half-court offense (like Washington State).

hey, not all teams do that. maybe u watched a low level team, then again maybe u didnt. just cuz u saw one or a couple games where teams shoot fast, doesnt mean the WHOLE college Basketball is "fast".
