Governments brag about men being created equal, but then they turn around and criticize the gays and treat them like their contaminated! I don't understand, they're people too, they should be able to do what they want. What do you think?

Danys M, i don't know who you were talking to when you said "you don't understand", but if you were talking to me, i do understand, because i AM gay. Although I'm only 15, and just out of the closet...

Because people like to pass judgment on others when they simply don't understand.
They are not gay, so there for they JUST DONT GET IT.

It goes for so many things in life. One person believes in one thing and someone else believes in another. neither one understanding why the other could believe the way they do.

Some people look at gay men as being feminine.
And same for Lesbian Women, being Masculine.

Most people think being gay is a life choice, although some of the time it is.

I am married with children and a grandson. My hubby and I have had many heated argument about this subject, he is just a homophobic.

I agree. I am a straight female but I believe people cannot control their emotions and I don't really see what the big deal is. Some people I believe think that gay is a choice. I wouldn't know but I know I am not attracted to women and could not make myself be. I personally have never met a gay person that has done anything offensive to me or acted any differently than a regular person. So some are a little more feminine...so what. Some of the most fun I have ever had has been around gay guys. To each his own.

Because people are voting with their bibles instead of their brains. Long gone is the seperation of church and state our country was built on. As long as the bible thumpers take every word of a book literally, there will never be equality among men. And as Americans, there is a general feeling of being superior to anyone that's not exactly like the leaders of this country. People need to keep the flag a political symbol, not a religious one.

I beleive it's the government being hypicritical. And it's not just gays. In a land were all men are created equal and the land of the free we tell people they are not welcomed in our country. We let the government run our lives and tell us what to do, how to live and if we don't watch it they will try to tell us how to think. It's not all religious people. I'm a christian and I have nothing against gays or anybody else.

I agree. Like most of us I have discussed this with others on occasion and here are some of the comments.
For the same reason albino birds are attacked by normal ones.
It is a natural reaction to maximise normal reproductive activity.
Some of them flaunt what is a very private part of life.
It's all about bottoms.
Tolerance is not about accepting whatever people want to do.
It's spread AIDS like wildfire.

Personally i note that relatively little is said about lesbianism. So is it because male sexual activity is by nature proactive and homosexuality is seen as a potential threat to the heterosexual in a psychological sense?

Hi Beckham, Alot of people don't know that men,and women that like the same sex parnter, cannot help they way they were born.I think people should give them a break, and let them alone. What anyone does in their own home,is no ones business. That gos for all human beings. Some are afraid if they be-friend a gay person, that everyone will think they are gay. This isn't true,if you are straight, the gay person will not come on to you. You are just a good friend, but difference taste in your sex parnter. I think it's alright to have a gay person for a friend, sometimes they become a better friend than straight person. Why, they can understand more of what is going on in this world. A Friend.

I think some people are too used to the conventional way of life. Basically humans do not adapt to change well. When a guy announced tha he likes guys, rather than girls, people in generally thinks there is something wrong with him, hence he will be criticised, because he is going against the world of nature.
I am not homosexual, but i do know people who are, and they are usually facing opposition from family or the society.....so pls give them a break!!! They are also humans.

you may desire to have mentioned: Why Do some distance-marvelous wingers oppose gay marriage yet they have self assurance in a sort a marriage from 2000 years in the past that coated abuse and prepared marriages? i does not agree in view that no one ever mentioned something approximately marvelous wingers wanting arranged marriages. yet a minimum of you would be sparkling. it somewhat is nevertheless distorting advice through fact it makes it appear like they choose arranged marriage yet a minimum of it somewhat is extra useful than what you probably did. Islam has not something to do with this. Many Jews, Christians and Muslims have self assurance that gay marriage is undesirable.

I totally agree with you. Society has double standards. I am not gay but i know some people that are, but i don't think there is anything wrong with that. It is not their fault, they are humans too and they have a right to live their lives as they want with whomever they want. Its not like they are having sex in public or doing something unappropriate in front of everyone. Its sad that our society encourages us yet on the other hand draws boundaries.

Because they are probably "old timin" (meanin they are from the times of racism and mass prejiduce lol) like most racial and prejudice people are. And plus some people think its funny and it may contradict with the govs. views and religion, but no one should really care...how the hell do you think bush got mass appeal from black people n stuff?...he just pulled a dirty card or critizing homosexuals. I don't really care..as long as im not roomin with em and then my mind starts to runnin lol. Its all good man, hopefully a democrate by the name of barack obama takes this country over in 08 then it would (possibly) be all good lol XD.
