Am I the only one who isn't trying to change the person I am with? I learned a long time ago that it is a hopeless battle, so why are people still trying to change others so much?

We all have a tendency to change with time, but I don't anyone who can change me; except me.

People are still trying to change others because they do not have the knowledge that you do yet; they have not learned yet that it is hopeless.

I agree completely! My brother and his girlfriend have "broken up" so many times that I've lost count, just because she tries to change him, he changes for a little bit then reverts back to his normal self, and she isn't happy about it. She needs to accept him or move on.

Well, the old joke about a woman's thoughts on her wedding day were "Aisle, Altar, Hymn".
Basically, it's impossible to change another person, but people do change. They have to do it for themselves, however.

I have never tried to change my husband, there are a couple things I wish he would change about himself but I have no intentions of leaving him he he doesn't change them.
