Well, the first of them should have reached 60 last year some time. So a bunch should retire in the next few years. They should all be 60 by 2030. So your social security taxes will be increasing at an alarming rate within the next 5 to 10 years.
Be carefull what you wish for, you might get it.

Like working with your generation is a treat? We do all the work, and do it well, with enthusiasm and caring. Heaven help the workplace when the slacker generation takes over completely.

i agree with esther and momma jo. let me retire now please. you guys can take over but let me tell you something. you WILL have to work. i know that is terribly annoying but trust me if you want to retire with any benefits you will indeed have to work. we pay into retirement fund, social security and even a 401k plan. not the easy way out by any means. and most of us "boomers" just pray we get to enjoy all the money we have paid in to retire into some sort of comfort.

That's okay....
Someone else will be saying the very same thing about YOU in about thirty years from now. Then you'll be out on your butt.
People need to work to live in today's economy, buddy. Arrogance and workaholicism have nothing to do with it.

I sure hope the retirement homes, continuous care, assisted living communities, nursing homes are ready, or readying themselves. Working in one of these places would probably not be a good career move for you. ;)
