Should I give it the heimlick manoever? Does that exist for a cat? It's not my cat. ( I won't give it mouth to mouth, no matter what you say..)

Cats usually have a good gag reflex. I would only try to intervene if the cat falls out on the ground and doesn't look too good. Otherwise let nature take its course, the cat will hack it up.

Don't panic.
Chances are, kitty's just barfing, or trying to expel a hairball. If its just barfing, no sweat; nine times out of ten, they'll eat their own puke, no muss no fuss. If its a hairball, still no sweat; they are easy to pick up with a paper towel, and they're a good gross-out tool for queasy room-mates. Creative placement is the key.
If kitty really is sick, and you take it to the vet, guess who gets stuck with the bill?

I don't know. That is a good question, since I know my cat eats mouse heads and bird parts, so could easily choke and I wouldn't know what to do. YUK

If it was choking it would be dead now. Cats often sound like they are choking when they vomit or have a hair ball ect. If it is not yours then let it be:-)

Yeah I've done it before... just don't break it's ribs or worse case like a bad hairball... use fingers.. but watch out cause he will bite and stratch you of course...
