I believe their best song is "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds." It was very controversial because its lyrics say: Picture yourself in a boat on a river With tangerine trees and marmalade skies Somebody calls you, you answer quite slowly A girl with kaleidoscope eyes... It was believed that this song was about an acid trip and the initials of the song spells out LSD. But the Beatles claim it was based on John Lennon's son Julians drawing. I find this song soothing and imaginitive.

Maxwell's Silver Hammer. It's hilarious, I mean it's really up beat, but it's about a guy killing people with a hammer, usually songs that deal with murder are really dark, but this song was so up beat that I sometimes forgot it was about a mass murderer
