No, not Big Daddy Kane. It was Biz Markie. Check him out in the video, it's kind of amusing.
This song used to play on the radio every day when I was in 2nd grade. Now it's retro. Gad I feel old.

I think it was Big Daddy Kane who sang the original that came out in the 80s. As for the person who sings it in the commercial, I'm not sure.
