Ah yes, the infamous snake sausages. It's not a new item - it's been around for a while. This type of food is not very popular with snakes and are usually used by those who think the idea of handling live, freshly killed, or f/t prey is "icky". From experience, those types of people are not the best owners. The sausages are lacking in the natural goodness that comes in the natural prey of snakes. They are used sometimes as a method to get stubborn snakes to eat, though usually it's last on the list after braining and scenting.
There are some of course who swear by these things (as anyone will swear by anything). Some snakes take them, some don't. It's the snakes call and by all means, if they are preferential to real mice, don't force them to eat the sausages just to make you feel comfortable.
If comfort is not the problem and it's more like space-saving and efficiency, then it doesn't hurt to try, but realize that it's not guaranteed.

some pet stores might carry it, probably the big ones would have it on hand, Petco, Petsmart, etc. But you might want to go to a local one and they might order a small amount in for you because if you use it and like it, they might have others who would too. But be aware that some snakes are picky eaters and you may have some problems with these at first.

I have a corn snake and i always get his food from Petco, or Petsmart the Pet Ark has mice but you'll probally end up getting them live at the Pet Ark. Petsmart and Petco both sell frozen and live mice.

Its not new, its been around for years and most keepers find it does not work real well. Besides, rats are still cheaper and better for the snake, even frozen.
