I have nothing against black people, most of my friends are black, but they are always lazy, trying to make people do stuff for them, and making fun of people, cusing all the time. I have 2 African friends and they are the nicest people I know, do stuff theirselves, and never curse...so, why is this?

And I assume that you know all African Americans to make this generalizing statement. I see many whites and hispanics do the same thing but I don't generalize and call them all lazy and rude people. People of all races do this, so don't make this into a race thing, it's an individual thing.

First of all in Africa there is no welfare system for lazy people so you actually have to do some work even if the wages are low. Second in Africa education is a big deal, its sad that some people will not have access to a decent education. Finally if an African saved up enough money to come here, they probably want a better life and don't want to be stuck with the African Americans in the hood/projects. Im not saying all people in the hood are bad but some of them are. So Africans study hard and work hard so eventually after some years they can be able to live in a good neighborhood with good schools. As for African Americans in general especially the young ones its easy to use the race card. If they fail they just blame the white man and take no responsibility. Either way there are hardworking Africans and African Americans but its seems that Africans are more serious in life.

You have plenty against black people. Your question falls into the same, "some of my best friends are black" justification that racists have been using since the 60's. Presently Africans and African Americans are suffering from the effects of colonization and slavery. The former see famine, drought, wars, crime and AIDS ravaging the continent. The latter are stereotyped, disenfranchised, undereducated, and under served in a country they built with their sweat, blood and tears. The biggest problem African Americans are facing today is the historical guilt of whites like yourself. You don't know what to do about benefiting from a system that disenfranchises one group of citizens so you veil your own self loathing in questions like this one.
As for your so called friends, birds of a feather and all that..including, with a friend like you who needs enemies? Go ahead. Violate me. Your question already did. Got sheets?

Opposite Of Hardworking

I CAN'T BELIEVE people DO NOT know the difference between a "COUNTRY", AND A "CONTINENT".

Pete, Africa is a continent, NOT a country.

I guess Africans from Africa are hard workers because of their backgrounds. The average person who is from Africa now is sent here as a refugee or by their rich corrupted government families to study. Either way, they have a time table to accomplish something, and they all want to accomplish that and go back knowing that back home life is harsh and they have to work hard to make it better for them and their people.

Watch "Coming to America", by Eddie Murphy.
An African immigrant WILL not hesitate to work McDonald's to make his goals happen, when an African-American thinks it is too cheap to do such a work.

Of course, your profile says you're Moroccan. So you're biased. If you're not white not black, what are you? Maybe it's the particular friends you hang out with. If most of your friends are like that, are you not the same, no matter whether you're African or AA? You're not helping with the stereotypes, you know. To say AA are not "nice and hard working" based on just your experience is kinda dumb.

Actually, your situation is that you have a group of lazy, demanding, critical, and cursing friends who happen to be black. ... and by the way, they are evidently friends you don't think too much of.

So my question back to you is: Why are you choosing to hang out with lazy, demanding, critical and cursing people?

if your friends are lazy so are you,and if your doing stuff for them that because they view you as a punk.when Africans are talking in their own language they are cursing white folk in their faces.they know that the white man has pillaged their country, they are not stupid. They are killing you with kindness.African American are the descendants of enslaved, orphanaged ,abused men, women and children of Africa, and under those circumstances we act anyway we want.
