First step: convert these mixed numbers into improper fractions:

9 3/8 = 72/8 + 3/8 = 75/8
5 3/4 = 20/4 + 3/4 = 23/4

Next step: divide

75/8 divided by 23/4 is the same thing as:
75/8 x 4/23 (you just flip the second fraction)

After solving this: you get 75/46 which in decimal form is approx. 1.63

you first have to make the denominator's the same which will be 9 3/8 divided by 5 6/8 and then make them into improper which is 75/8 divided by 46/8 and then you switch the second number into multiplication which is 75/8 multiply by 8/46 which the answer is 1 29/46

1. Change Proper Fraction to Improper Fraction. Multipy denominater (bottom number) by whole number then add the numerator (top number). Do that to both numbers
2. Invert both fractions. Change the Numerators and Denominators around. IE: 3/8 would be 8/3
3. multiply top numbers and bottom number.
4. Then change improper fractions back to proper fractions.

k..make each fraction improper

so multiply denom(bottom)8 by 9 and add 3
then multply 4 by 5 and add 3
so u hav 75/8 and 23/4
then..take reciprocal(flip)last one
so u haav 75/8 * 4/23
now simplify and multiply denoms by denoms and numerators by numerators

1. convert the mixed numbers to fractions
2. invert the latter
3. multiple
4. convert back to mixed numbers
