I would never do that to anyone, it would be too cruel to bring them back here when they've already escaped! It would be like putting someone back in jail where they can feel pain and hunger and sorrow again, out of personal selfishness.

I do not think I would bring back anyone from the dead, for starters, there is the smell of decomposition to deal with, and secondly, I hate the sight of blood, so I could not imagine the sight of a badly decomposed corpse walking around.

A friend of mine was killed yesterday in a car wreck. He was a good guy and leaves behind a 2yr year old son. I would bring him back to save everyone the grief and hard times to follow.

I agree with barefoot. I wouldn't bring anyone back because they deserve their rest. Besides they'll have to suffer being reborn again, anyway. At least that is what I and the people of my religion believe. The point is, let them rest.

For me and my mother: my maternal grandmother. Gentle hands, gentle laugh, spine of steel that saw her follow her husband into poverty and yet give help to everyone around her. She was no politician or rock star, but made a huge difference in the community.

On a purely selfish level, I would have to bring back Joseph Campbell. I would love to pick his brain and commiserate with him about mythology and how it applies to our current society.

On a global health level, hmmmm, probably Mahatma Ghandi (world diplomacy) or Princess Diana (she had the $$$ to make the world a better place).
