I have a 2000 Ford f150 4x4. When I go to cold start it, it makes a deep seize noise, and the rpm 's seem restricted, and tries to die. When I hold my foot on the gas, for about 30 seconds, the rpm's will break free then the truck will idle fine then run good all day. I changed the fuel filter, and it didnt fix it, and the truck only has 45,000 miles on it.

Try a can of Seafoam in a couple tanks of gas. It's almost a mechanic in a can.

have you checked the air filter lately. If you have to keep your foot On the gas do you have it revved up or at least trying cause if you are it almost sounds like you might be getting too much fuel. Is your check engine light on at all through you start up.

That low a miliage? I'd suspect the ECM (Computer) first.. secondly throttle body or injector positioner sensors.. but those should pop codes if the ECM is functional...

So My giess is the ECM computer in this case.. (they do go bad.. thats a fact)

and that 'Puter controles everything these days.. if its bad and thinks its acting wrong it will act accordingly and tell everthing else something is messed up even when it really isnt..

Your Idle Air Control Valve (IAC) is all corboned up and needs to be replaced. When it gets covered in carbon, it sticks just as you described. Eventually it will stop working entirely. Its an easy fix, 2 screws and 1 electrical connector.

the belts could make a horrid noise on a chilly initiate. if the belt is glazed, that would not help. the rigidity-er is due each 50,000 miles from what I actual have study. the preliminary noise may well be from attempting to get pumps and upload-ons moving with a not so tight belt.

Flower's answer is the most likely cause.
considering the low mileage the truck must be used for mostly short trips. this would cause this. it may not need replace take it off and clean it first. replace if that does not help.
