the favorites for MIP are Kevin Martin from the kings and monta ellis from the warriors
Martin went from 10.8 points last year to 20.7 points this year on 49.5% shooting
Ellis went from 6.5 points to 17.2
those are the odds on favorites

The most improved player should be someone who sucked last year and has totally turned it around this season, more than anyone else in the league. I am a Suns fan but Barbosa doesn't win this one because he's doing the same things this year pretty much...he was good last season and he's still good again. The award Barbosa should be winning is the 6th Man. Definitely gotta be him this year. As far as MIP, try to think of someone who most people didn't ever hear about last year that is consistantly throwing himself out there this year...Kevin Martin and Luke Walton come to my mind.

All good players but this city seems to be overlooked every year. The award will go to Deron Williams of the Jazz.
10 pts 5 asts 2.5 rebs and .08 stl a game
now
17 pts 9 asts 3.5 rebs and 1.2 stls a game
and leading one of the nba's best teams. Remember this as Deron will win the award this year.

Luol Deng, he is emerging as a star on the Bulls.
And Howard, one of your suggestions, isn't a bad choice either.

THE MOST IMPROVED PLAYER IS THE MOST VALUABLE PLAYER'S SIDEKICK. WASHINGTON GUARD / SMALL FORWARD CARON BUTLER IS SHOWING A MONSTER INCREASE IN EVERY MAJOR STATISTICAL CATEGORY OVER LAST SEASON. HE ALSO IS THE TEAM LEADER IN REBOUNDING, STEALS, AND FREE THROW %. THIS HAS MADE CARON A VALUABLE PIECE OF MANY FANTASY TEAMS. THERE REALLY ISN'T A MORE DRAMATIC IMPROVMENT FROM ANY OTHER PLAYER IN THE LEAGUE.
