The nut grass grows faster than bermuda and looks bad even in several days after mowing.Help me rid my yard of nut grass.

there is only one safe way to remove that nut grass. you need to dig it by hand. it mulitplies so fast because under the root system you will find "nutlets" . they are small bulbs similar to the spring bulb crocus bulbs only smaller. ( if you ever saw those ) you need to get those "nutlets" out to get rid of the nut grass.

The bad news is you have to dig it up and find all the "nuts" that are like potatoes and will continue to produce no matter what you do to the parent plant.

The good news, the nuts are edible and quite good if washed and roasted.

Don't spray it with round-up!!! There is a specialty herbicide called Manage. It may be available through a home and garden store or you may have to call a lawn care company. It's easy to kill when you have the right product.

yeah...pull it up. Nut grass is really invasive and can lead to problems....

I do it the old fashioned, environmentally-friendly way.

I pull it up. Not a lot of fun, but it does make you the master of your lawn.
