yes, I nursed a patient once who lived in a remote part of Cornwall who kept wolves, and rescued a bear from an advertising company. I know you have to have a special licence and meet several expensive safety requirements; you also need to consider the locality of you specialist vet, as you cannot pop along with it to your local small animal clinic! Phone the local council who will be able to help you

Why would you want to own a pet that would enjoy eating you for lunch?
The animal is wild, can not be domesticated and would be taken out of it's natural habitat.
If you truly 'love' animals leave them where they belong and rescure a nice tabby from the humane society - they won't eat you.
Donate time and money to your local Zoo and go develop a relationship with the zookeepers. If they decide that you are not a nut case and trust you with the animals maybe you could volunteer.

As far as buying a tame Panther - there is no such thing. Just ask Sigfried and Roy in Las Vegas about their "tame" white tigers.

Wouldn't recommend one. Panthers are a different color of either a leopard, jaguar or puma, there may be a few others too. But all of these cats with the exception of the jaguar are know man eaters and are more unpredictable than most of the big cats.

But I'm not sure of the laws of the UK you can probably find out online.

If you have a special enclosure and get a license from your council it's legal to keep 1 but there is no such thing as a tame panther. It might seem tame for years but sooner or later you'd do something to annoy it and it would kill you.

not legally. Also no private home can provide the specialist care and accomodation that these animals need. Also panthers are wild animals and will NOT be tame. Big cats you see in circuses etc are highly trained, and are handled by very experianced people who are aware of the amount of danger they are in and how to avoid accidents.

You would need to be licenced under the Dangerous Wild Animals Act & be able to provide a suitable enclosure. You would NOT be able to pose around town with it!

yes you could, i don't know where you would buy 1 from but i do know that you would have to have a dangerous animal licence as well as a licence from your local council and to get a licence like this you have to prove that you had the right facilities for one and that you could look after it correctly.
