A great disaster? The only way Iran will win is if the U.S. leaves, thats what they want us to do right now, at least some of the factions that are responsible for terrorist attacks, etc.

I think people are forgetting why we went over there in the first place. Something had to be done, do you not recall what happened on 9/11? They came over here killing thousands of us, should we have sat around and done nothing? You tell me, because we didn't sit around and do nothing, we went over there, for alot of reasons. Things were getting out of hand over there for a long time. Bush is doing what he thinks is best, you think you could do better? Because hes trying to protect our country and then the people of Iraq from terrorists where they won't have to live in fear.

Before the war I read on both the UN website and on the UNICEF website that 5000 children were dying in Iraq every MONTH because the humanitarian aid money for vaccines and medicine were being diverted by the Iraqi government. That's 60,000 children every year that were being killed by that butcher because he was stealing the money from the children.

We've been there three years. So according to UN statistics of 5,000 per month, we have saved 180,000 children from certain death! What is the lives of 180,000 children worth? Please tell me. Please put a sorry price tag on the value of 180,000 children who are alive and healthy.

In the eleven years that elapsed after the first gulf war, that sorry #$%&$% killed more than a half million children because he stole the humanitarian aid money. But why does no one here care about such children?

Today the military medics go throughout the countryside giving food and medicine to those children. And you bunch of heartless dispicable people want to bring our soldiers and medics home so those children will have to suffer until their struggling government can create an infrastructure to take care of them. I just don't understand how people who claim to have a caring heart can be so uncaring and heartless. If we pull out now, those poor children will be the disaster. But you don't care about them.

The terrorists hate anyone who is not just like them. They chant, "Death to all infidels." Even the Arab muslims who are not radicals they consider to be infidels and kill them. That is what is happening in Iraq today! So hiding our heads in the sand will not make them go away.

I have a friend who says, "Don't confuse me with facts because my mind is made up. I hate Bush." So be it. But the children are the ones who will suffer because of that hate. Isn't that a shame?

i imagine that the Bush administration's regulations were the catalyst more effective than the 9/11 incident. notwithstanding, the actuality is operating type individuals will locate it perplexing to compete contained in the fashionable international. The chinese workers are less intense priced and agencies will proceed to flock there and there is no longer something which could be finished about it. only a question for you....did you already know the way we paid for the war in Iraq? We issued authorities bonds/debt and the vast majority of those were offered with assistance from China. at present we owe China four hundred billion money. This shall we China carry a great number of sway with the american authorities as their mass promoting of the bonds ought to set off a serious marketplace panic. worry no longer even with the actuality that as if issues worsen and we run out of money we are able to nevertheless shop at walmart and purchase issues affordable (that are all made in China) All isn't bleak even with the actuality that us of a's aggressive income remains in its knowledge depending economic equipment, notwithstanding the Bush administration and to three volume the Clinton administration bought out on our united states of america's operating type persons and that i really do not see besides the operating type of our united states of america can get well. humorous even with the actuality that how an identical operating type vote for Bush and Clinton???? My suggestion study chinese because the pencils you'd be promoting will be made there besides.

There is a saying from my school days. . ."History will repeat itself when people do not study the past."

As a young adult during the Vietnam era, I could see history repeating itself when the United States government decided to take on Iraq's problems, what was basically a civil war. I do not see any country "winning."

Hopefully, this leads to a "hands off" policy when other countries have civil strife.

That this war is *going to be* a great disaster?! Honey, IT IS! What was your first clue? That the populace didn't throw roses at us, that the pulling down of the Saddam statue was totally rigged for TV audiences, that we have unleashed what will be one of the greatest and bloodiest civil wars in history, that we have produced a generation of terrorists out of a civilisation that didn't really care one way or the other, that we have run up a bill of billions of dollars that could have been spent actually helping people and protecting Americans instead of endangering them, a bill our children and grandchildren will have to pay and pay and pay....

NO ONE IS GOING TO WIN. After thousands more American soldiers are killed or horribly maimed, the U.S. will eventually withdraw, the Iraqis will keep killing each other in ever more gruesome ways and the Islamic world will continue hating us like no other Satan on earth. Yeah, forcing democracy on a country that didn't ask for it really works well, don't you think?

WE ARE SCREWED. Thanks, George!

It will pale to insignificance compared to what is coming when Iran takes over the whole middle east after our chicken---- politicians pull us out and the whole thing collapses into all out revenge on those who cooperated with our brave soldiers. Millions will be raped, tortured, and savagely publically executed without due process, and America will be in a depression from sky high oil prices that will make the cost of this conflict seem tiny by comparison.
The battles being fought now in Baghdad will move straightway to Europe and America, and we will see mushroom clouds over our cities in our lifetime while Jihadis dance for joy as they see our nation crumble.

To Dogz- I really understand what you're saying and want to agree but those 180,000 children could have grown up to be terrorist themselves. I'm not saying kill the children, that breaks my heart but if my son who is over there gets killed, well I wouldn't want to go on. He believes in what he's fighting for but I can't see a good outcome and believe it to be a disaster. I wish George's daughters were in the military. He's just trying to save face.

It will and can be a disaster if we don't win, We need to give Iraq people freedom. If we can do that when just maybe the rest of the country's will join in wanting freedom and not trying to knock us all off.
Freedom is very hard to come by but easy to lose. You lost your rights to own a gun. Makes it very hard to protect yourself if the criminal has one. Better than 80% of America have the right to carry a gun and in those areas crime has declined by 40%. but I live in a stupid state -California- that doesn't have this right and crime here is very high. Well at least we can own a firearm

the war was a disaster from the start for you never can succeed in an enterprise based on deceit and we went in on flimsy intel more than likely made up to make it look good for the world but now that the world knows the truth how foolish we look in the eyes of our neighbors, this should be a lesson to mind our own business and not to get involved in the affairs of others, especially not over something so foolish as he tried to kill my daddy.
