Yes it is. Like Barbie before them, they are unrealistic images for girls to copy.

I agree. My little sisters love the Bratz dolls. Their faces are so fake. They have these huge eyes and large lips as if they just had collagen put in them. That's why I prefer to buy them Cabbage Patch Dolls instead. But there is something wrong with so many dolls nowadays.

It's just a stylized image, like the big hair, big eyes, big lips, and probably big boobs, too. The toy designer probably drew half a dozen different concepts, showed them to the girls that they wanted to market to, and asked them what parts they liked and didn't like.
Imagine a focus group of 8 year olds, and you're probably not too far from the truth. It sells, they make money, and so it'll stay unless someone makes a big enough fuss over it to make it politically unpopular to have them be so skinny.

Because they are fake dolls for fake girls. They just cause a bad influence on kids and I hate them. Well thats my opinion, but anyways...
