It means that a player has tackled 45 people carrying or holding the ball throughout the season. Out of those 45 tackles, 7 of them resulted in negative yardage. An example of this is if im on the 10 yard line and i get tackled back to the 15 yard line. That would be a tackle for a loss of 5 yards. And 3 of those tackles were sacks, which means the person tackled the quarterback before the quarterback ran with or threw the ball.AN All-American in college football means that that player who recieved the all-american honor is one of the best players in that sport/

In all a team or player had 45 tackles (bringing down whoever has the ball) 7 for loss (bringing down whoever has the ball behind the line of scrimmage) and 3 sacks (tackling the quarterback before he gets rid of the ball) And an all american is the best at a certain postion in his conference or all of college football. These players are usually picked by media members and coaches. Hope this helps

it means that he made 45 solo tackles, of those 45 he tackled the runningback behind the line of scrimmage 7 times, and he tackled the qb 3 times behind the line of scrimmage, being an all american in college is the same as being named to the pro bowl
